ANSI

Founded in 1918, the American National Standards Institute, or ANSI, is a non-profit organization that oversees and sets U.S. standards, conformity, and norms for products found in nearly every U.S. sector. Standards ensure that products, especially newbb电子 that workers rely on to keep them safe, meet an adopted standard and performance level. ANSI does not create standards, but it approves standards that are developed by representatives of accredited organizations. Currently, there are more than 220 ANSI-Accredited Standards Developers including organizations like ASTM International, Underwriters Laboratories, Inc., and NFPA International.

At newbb电子平台 Safety, we don’t just test products to meet a specific standard, we go one step further and test products in our very own lab. newbb电子平台 Safety’s Innovations Technology Center (ITC Lab) has been in operation since 2010, testing newbb电子 for ANSI cut-, abrasion-, heat-, puncture-, impact-, and tear-resistance. We also launder garments to ensure proper performance is maintained even after washing. In July of 2016, our commitment to excellence led to newbb电子平台 Safety’s ITC becoming one of the first North American testing labs to receive ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation for hand protection, an international standard that requires labs to demonstrate a high degree of accuracy and consistency in testing protective equipment.
